Stories We Love

Blogville Department of Arts and Entertainment

Stories we Love

For the month of May our challenge has been "Stories we love." Blogville residents were invited to write about their favorite stories that feature an anipal. Stories could include poems, films, made-up stories, tales from books or any other narrative that could be defined as a story.

The entries are now on the Blogville arts and Entertainment website, so please come over and take a look. You will find it here.

Danger on the Patio!

Befur I get into the dangerous goings-on on our patio today I want to thank everybuddy who sent in submissions fur the May Blogville Arts and Entertainment challenge. The title is "Stories we Love".
The dead lion is today (May 20th) but I am extending it fur 24 hours, until the end of May 21st, because I was not able to blog fur the past week, so I couldn't sent out the reminders.

If you planned to enter but furgot, or if you didn't know about it, there is still time!

The details about the challenge are at the very end of this blog post.

Now fur the danger on our patio!

You know how much I hate the vacuum monster.  I try to kill it whenever I can. Well now there is something even more disturbing.  It is a home security nightmare and it has to do with Eric, who I live with and who is usually a reasonable peep. Fur some reason, pawever, today he is not his usual self.

The furst thing Eric did this morning seemed harmless enough. He moved all of Mimi's planters and the barbeque into the middle of the patio floor.

Then he got out a crazy contraption that he attached to a water hose and he plugged it in. So far, so good. I just stood by because it's my job to know what is going on.

The next thing that happened was shocking. It brought all of my instincts to the surface.

Well the thing made a noise louder than the vacuum and it squirted water that started to move stuff around.  I had to attack it. Eric was in danger from the stupid thing.

Eric with the power monster

I did my best to attack the monster!

The very next thing that happened is that the noise stopped. Eric scooped me up and carried me into the house. He closed the patio window, locking me inside. All I could do was bark, even though he needed me to save him from the monster.

Why do they put me in charge of home security and then prevent me from doing my job?

I will never understand these peeps, but I love them just the same.

Now fur the infurmation about the May challenge:

Saturday Night at Home

Hello  Everybuddy!

The furst thing I want to tell you is that I got the right answer to Sammy's teaser on Two Spoiled Cats this week! I am so furry proud of myself! Every week Angel Sammy hold a contest to see who can identify what is usually an architectural building or monument. I tried a few times over the past months, but always got it wrong until this time! I won this badge:

I'll be putting this badge on my "Awards" page!

In case you were wondering what's going on in my life, it's Saturday night and this little white dog is staying at home with my kitty brother. Hazuzu would like to be out prowling around, but he isn't allowed to go out of the house after dark.

I never mind staying at home so long as one of the peeps is here. Besides, my abilities as a home security expert are always needed. I am the only one who can tell if an anipal or a strange peep is nearby so I always know when to bark.

I am happy to stay at home fur the sake of home security!

It's Saturday night and Hazuzu is feeling restless!

Mimi is working on her art projects. She is designing what she calls "articulated paper dolls". It sounds like she never grew up!

Finally, Hazuzu and I want to wish each and every mom out there a Happy Mothers Day! This is fur moms of anipals as well as moms of peeps.

HAPPY MOTHERS DAY!!

Well, that is how it is in Louisdog's life!

Thanks fur stopping by!

Louis' This and That

Once more it is time fur Louisdog's this and that.

THIS:

This is one of Mimi's cat paintings. She paints a lot more cats than dogs and I don't know why.

THAT:

This photo was taken just befur I had my latest furcut but it shows you how we live. Here I am with Eric, who is Mimi's grandson. Hazuzu is on the coffee table. He has his eye on something but I can't remember what. Mimi did the paintings on the wall.

THIS:

My kitty-brother Hazuzu is getting a lot out of Cat Scouts and from my pawspective it is good to see him interested in more that just running around the neighborhood chasing mousies. Last weekend, fur example, he had the oppawtunity to go to the Kentucky Derby with a group of cats. They stayed in a pawsome hotel, went on a riverboat, partied and took in the sights of Louisville.
Here is a photo of Hazuzu, all dressed fur the derby:

At one of the pawties, he dressed like Colonel Sanders and brought fried chicken!

I gotta admit, my brother is a cool cat!

THAT:

Now, fur a dose of complete cuteness:

Who doesn't love bunnies and little baby chicks?
THIS:

I want to make a request about the May Blogville Arts and Entertainment challenge, which is called Stories we Love.   Would you please let others know? I don't have a lot of followers because I am fairly new in Blogville and not that many anipals and peeps see my posts. It would help a lot if you would let others know about it.

Rainy Day...All Day

Today the weather peeps predicted that the sun would come out but instead it rained all day!

This is what Hazuzu and I did today:

Chillin' indoors on a rainy day.

Hazuzu stayed inside because he didn't feel like getting his furs all wet. Besides, all of the mousies were deep inside their cozy little hidey-holes.

Earlier, while looking fur photos I found this one with a rainy day dog:

Hopefully tomorrow will be like yesterday, which was pawfect fur gardening.

Until Next Time:

Yoda and Me

SOMEHOW this post got lost a couple of days after it was published! I have no idea how, but it vanished! Not only that. but only a few words from it and no photos are in my "posts" area.

I won't re-write it, but here are the photos of Yoda and me.
The post was all about my amazing Yoda-like ears.

With these ears I can hear EVERYTHING!!
